Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival wrapped up the numbers of the 27th edition

The 27th edition of Black Nights broke several records in terms of global media coverage - the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival was mentioned in over 6800 articles in 93 countries, and the number of potential media contacts rose to 19.9 billion. The number of admissions was significantly higher than in 2022, and is comparable to the all-time record year, 2019.

The number of admissions of the 27th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival was 88 400, beating the previous result with 10 000 admissions. The all-time record is 90 000+ admssions in 2019.

According to PÖFF director Tiina Lokk, audiences are continuously back in cinemas after the Corona pandemic. "We had a high-quality programme, and people have an appetite for culture, as it acts as a refuge in difficult times and stress," she said.

In terms of estimates, PÖFF brought back around €11 million to the Estonian economy this year.
